The Energy Of Money: Cold Cash Or Warm Flow?

Q: I’ve been seeing how control and tightness exist in the core of what I was born into. There’s now so much more space for real living than I chose before, and this tightness also affects my relationship with money. Can you speak about that, and the tightness at my core?

John: That is tied into personal survival and maintaining being the centre of the universe. Instead of having a personal identity, which separates you from the rest of the universe wherein you are using the universe in order to cope, instead of maintaining a personal identity and being separate, from the universe, know your self within the whole universe. Then, instead of there being the need to personally survive, what survives is the beingness within you.

Money is energy. Do you relate to such energy with personal rigidity or a sweet openness? The energy of money is to be integrated: knowing how to be in the energy of money, while at the same time knowing your self and not needing to have a personal identity within the energy of money.

Q: It seems to go so deep. I don’t understand it but I know my life’s been driven by this control around money.

John: Your relationship with money displays the present nature of your mind. The mind doesn’t change easily; it is first governed by patterns. When you’re knowing your real self in context of those patterns, then you’re confronted by those patterns. They would have you being a different way than how you actually know your true self to be.

It is being your true self in context of those mental patterns that invites those patterns to open. That is change. You cannot change the patterns. You can only be your real self in the midst of them. That causes the patterns of your mind to transform. The patterns of your mind will match what you are being. They do change by transforming, but that is slow.

The change within your own heart can be in an instant. The mind matches slowly, and the body matches even slower. Your mind is a display of what you came into this world with, and your mind is also a display of what you were being. Let gentleness manage your money.

Q: I don’t think I know how.

John: Be open to being gentle with your money. Then the energy of what money is, is open and soft within you. Instead of money and the energy of it being cold within you, let money and the energy of it within you be warm – warm, living cash, instead of cold cash.

There is a beingness to money. Find it. Have a relationship with the beingness of what money is. That is having a real relationship with the love in money, instead of the love of money.

A Deeper Level Of Mother – A Real And Unusual Love

Q: I want to know how best to support my son in what he’s going through both physically and emotionally while I’m so far away. We’ve had some lovely conversations on the phone, but afterwards I felt he was missing me and it was heart-breaking.

John: Your deeper womanness has more real reach than the motherly responses that you’re accustomed to. Your motherly response is to rush in. Your response from within your deeper womanness doesn’t rush in. It reaches directly and finds him, but not where he’s looking from, which directs his heart awareness to where it belongs. It centres him.

When you move from within what is usual for you, you teach him to do the same – to move in what is usual for him. Come from, within, what is unusual for you and you invite him to see from the same level in him. That takes him out of his emotional thinking and introduces him to a depth of feeling that isn’t anchored in what he is experiencing in himself: a depth of feeling that is in his heart, anchored in a beingness that he’s not accustomed to.

He doesn’t need what he’s looking for. He needs what answers him. There’s more to him than what his self and his life consist of. This new circumstance that he’s in addresses that. He doesn’t need the help that he thinks he needs, and he doesn’t need the help that you feel he needs. He needs to know more and see more.

It’s that deeper knowing and the deeper seeing from within his heart that he needs, and you’re able to give that to him by coming from that in you. When you are profoundly different, he knows more and sees more.

This isn’t about his survival. This is about his heart. You’re able to be more than what he’s used to in you. He wants to have the love that he’s used to from you.

Q: Do you mean like taking care of him?

John: And your way of taking care of him. When you are being what you are used to, that tells him to remain in what he’s used to.

When you come from your deeper womanness, he will have from you a love that is unusual. The real and the unusual invite knowing in him, and seeing that is beyond his self and what he’s used to, putting him into a deeper level, a deeper level than what has made his experience. You respond to the deep and the unusual. Live that to him.

He doesn’t need the help that he doesn’t need. He needs what he hasn’t realized yet. You come from that, and he’ll see. He’s at a critical point. Answer him by you being at yours.

Q: Can you tell me more about that critical point?

John: That point in you, left behind, which is all old. It has its goodness, and it’s old. And there is that point in you to which you are able to be all new. You can’t use your past or your self for you to be in that. In this, you can’t rely on your experience. Your experience gives you what you’ve had before. It doesn’t give you what you know is new. You belonging to what you know is new puts you into the new.

In the new, you are love without a face. Love’s face forms when you are being that deeper love in the midst of your self, ways of deeper love not learned in your self, levels of love unknown to your self – known by you and not yet experienced.

This is what you came here for.

Q: This reminds me of when I’ve heard you speak about the future self. Is that what you mean by “the new”?

John: Yes. You have direct knowledge of it and you have no experience in it.

Q: So do I just keep relating to what I know in that? Because I do know it.

John: You relating to it makes it real. What you relate to, you come from.

Q: It really is so beautiful. You once told me that it would be beautiful, but I thought the cost was too high. That was a long time ago.

John: Beauty comes before cost.

The shift of your relating brings your true future into the present. You’re not going to be the kind of mother and the kind of wife that you’ve been used to; awareness espoused to direct knowledge made real in your heart and lived in your self.

Your way is to love like you have never loved before. It will be the death of the self that you’ve been used to. You will make a new one.

Q: It’s so beautiful. Thank you.

Responding To The Calling: The Promise Of A Different World

Q: My question is about the expression of the calling. How is it different from other expressions?

John: The calling is of a deeper level than any of your other levels. For the calling to come into expression, the level of the calling needs to open within your levels of expression, which changes your expression. The levels of your expression open and reveal the calling in you.

It doesn’t reveal its information in the expression. It reveals its level, the level of the calling, in your expression. Your eyes change. Your eyes will reveal that you know something that is beyond your self and beyond this world, beyond your life. Your eyes would reveal that you know and you’ve seen.

As the calling begins to show in your expression so that the calling begins to have expression, it will make your self uncomfortable because what is beyond your self has presence in your self. That presence is a profound interruption to your self. It brings into the movement of your self what is beyond your self. In your self you won’t be understanding what is affecting your self, intimately, of the calling, and that will also show. It shows in your eyes and it shows in your face.

As that presence becomes manifest in your eyes and your face, it will make others uncomfortable because they’ll see something that they know and that is beyond your self and theirs. It creates a disturbance, a disturbance that isn’t for you to remedy, a disturbance that you let have presence. You’re not there to help it or to fix it, but that presence is, within you, dearly welcome to disturb.

The more that it moves, the more that it disturbs because it introduces the context of reality within a self that can’t comprehend that, even though you know the truth of it.

You begin to have presence, within, that shows, that is inexplicable. You’re unable to quantify it or to qualify it. It just simply has way. It has way by virtue of its own presence. When the calling moves, it gently disturbs reality because it’s making room within reality for that which reality comes from.

The presence of the calling is a presence that is deeply foreign, yet deeply known by you as being true. It is because of your knowledge, your direct knowledge of the truth of it, of the truth of the calling, that you let it have any amount of space anywhere in you.

Everything that the calling touches in you, it opens in a foreign manner. A foreignness opens you because of what you know the truth of that’s in it. It interrupts your ways. It interrupts the ways of your interior. Its way in your interior is foreign; foreign but known by you. You know the truth of it. The more that it moves in your interior, the more that it undoes your self. It remakes your self.

Q: How is it different from other expressions?

John: Other expressions are by nature familiar. The expression of the calling in you is foreign. It’s beyond all familiarity. It accomplishes a complete inner alignment that isn’t based on familiarity. It’s based on your response to direct knowledge; you directly knowing the truth of it.

As the calling moves in you and as you are in response to it, it recontextualizes your whole interior. That alters the reality of your interior. It opens what you are to the much more of you that you didn’t know before. The trajectory of your whole life is a trajectory that is foreign to anything that you’re familiar with in your life. It makes you no longer belong to anything that you can see.

For the calling to have way in you, fundamentally altering you and changing you, free to have expression within anything that is yours because it is then landed in form, is the beginning of a fundamental shift in this world. It is the promise that this whole world, in time, will be all different.

Q: It looks like it’s gently doing that in a world that is not like that.

John: It moves by presence and not by power. There is no use of power that can stop it.

Every resistance and every response feeds it. It’s how the truth moves. If you respond to it, you connect with it. If you resist it, you connect to it.

Q: If you react to it, its expression will be distorted?

John: If you react to it, you stop its expression in you. That doesn’t stop its presence in you.

Shining From Your Higher Self: The Finest Self Development

Q: John, looking at you I feel deeply touched by your purity, silence and love. Thank you for being so available. You’ve spoken about taking care of what we know. Would you say more about it?

John: What would you be saying more about it?

Q: It should be the important thing in life to take care of that.

John: You began speaking about being touched by that. Continue speaking from being touched by that. It touches a delight in you. Speak about it from within that delight.

Q: There is only silence.

John: It is true that there is stillness in it, but the moment the stillness that is in it moves, there is expression. Within the stillness you know what you know. When the stillness moves, you experience what you know and it moves through you as that.

It is one thing to know what you know, which causes stillness within. It is another thing for you to surrender to what you know, and it is again another thing for you to let your self fully express what it is that you’re surrendering to.

First, there is the pull to see what it is that you actually know is true, within. Then there is the pull to surrender to that. Then there is the pull to express that. The pull, within, takes you without.

The more that you respond to it the more that it naturally shines without, letting what you know in your heart shine from your heart. The light, within, revealed, is a shining light.

It is the shining of that light, when you surrender to it, that always takes you past your self. That enables you to be extended beyond your self, within your self. That brings up within you a higher self – one that is able to reveal an even deeper light that brings about an even finer shining, a much finer expression.

The shining of that is you again exceeding your self, being extended beyond your self, being able to embrace something within your self that is clearly greater than your self.

It is the finding of this within your self, and the expression of this through your self, that is the finest and the most wonderful development of your self.

Purity Of Heart: At Rest In Love, Within

Q: In your book ‘The Intelligence of Love’ you say enlightenment isn’t everything, purity of heart is. Can you explain that?

John: You can be enlightened and that doesn’t mean that you’ll be all that you’ve awakened to, all that you’ve come into. It doesn’t really matter how much you directly know, how much you’ve awakened, how much you’ve come into. What really matters is to be what you directly know the truth of within.

The amount anyone knows is of little consequence. How much you are being what you do know is everything.

Purity of heart means that you are gentled and quieted in your heart because you are gentled and quieted in what you know in your heart. Gentled in what you know, your heart fills with the quietude of what you know and its beingness, which is love.

With your heart in that way already filled, you won’t take your self to heart. Your heart with your self not in it is clean. Bring your self into your heart and it’s no longer clean. To bring your self into your heart, for you to take your self to heart, requires a tightening, a closing, a holding.

When you, despite how much your self is mixed into your heart, relax, just by virtue of you, relaxed, your heart opens, softens and becomes cleaned of your self. Your heart opened and softened is already filling with the same as your being.

The openness and the softness is the first little bit of your being. Then it is your being-filled heart that naturally, on its own, moves. As it moves, moving as love, your being-filled heart fills your self, which makes your self the same as your being and what has filled your heart.

Purity of heart isn’t a work; it is the quieted absence of it. All there is, then, in a pure heart is you, at rest – you rested in it. With nothing else there, nothing of your self, nothing of your life, your heart is clean.

Take your self seriously and your heart is closing. The more that you are about your self and its sense of importance, the more closed your heart.
